Afrodite 25.

This is the Afrodite, designed by Sven Hellström.

The boat was built a couple of years ago in Stockholm and has been sailed extensively.

She is equipped with a keel that can be folded up under the bottom of the hull to minimize depth.The prototype is also equipped with a low centred rig to make for a safe and stable cruiser

She has proved herself to be a very well performing cruiser in this configuration. Her main caracteristics is that she balances extremely well in whatever weather and heel. This is due to her very refined hull with very well distributed volume. Though her current configuration has its emphasis on cruising she has proven herself as a performer too. Often she outperforms much larger boats and has no problem keeping the pace with J-80´s and other sailboats in the same category.

The production boat will have a bit different look but will share the hull lines with her precursor.

She will be a bit more powerful with more sail area and keel weight but still be as pleasant to cruise.If you are keen to know more about this project you should contact the designer:Sven Hellström
