After the success with the Megin-dinghy it was a natural step to build a bigger but still trailer
able little Viking ship. The idea was to build a day sailor that could be used for little longer trips than the
Megin-dinghy. The drawings and the lofting for the Stormegin was done by Malmsten Boats, as well as the plug and mould.
A prototype was built before the tooling was delivered to the producer in Denmark:
